Three Prerequisites for Effective Communication

According to the Bible, writers, editors, and publishers are a great team. Dealing with some important issues, MAI trainer, author, and writer George Koshy leads us through a 4-part series called “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!”

In this first video, George reminds Christian writers of three prerequisites for effective communication: knowing our message (the Lord), knowing our medium (the Word), and knowing our audience (the World).

“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” – Benjamin Franklin

Once you watch the video, we invite you to reflect on the following questions this week:

  • – What does it mean for you as a writer or editor to know the Lord, the Word, and the world?
  • – Which, if any, do you need to focus on in the days and weeks ahead?
  • – Why, in your opinion, do we need all three of these as a priority?
  • – How can focusing on these allow you to clarify you own message?

Join us next week for part 2 of the series. One Big Idea is a media ministry of Media Associates International.
